Flugsicherung Langen

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

A very small trainstation in Langen. I went to a training in Langen and got up the third day extra early to get some stuff done I didn’t get done the day before. But when I spotted this small trainstation and the fog I knew I was gonna be late ;)

Papierfabrik Phrix

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

A paper factory in a street. Very strange location for a factory. It was already getting dark when I arrived after a day training in Langen. Some parts are turned into studio’s, some parts are houses but most is junk. It was a very mystical tour but you had to watch your step because the place looked like a junkjard. Why would someone do that? Reviewing the pics when I got back I noticed the shortest shutterspeed was 4 seconds!

DIY lighttent

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007

Don’t you love quick and dirty? I do! I was in the hardware store to get some wood to build me a lightcube or lighttent. I got some wood and headed for the register…

I passed some wooden stands which drew my attention: 2 stands complete with hinges at a better price than the wood I bought. Combine this with some calque paper, tape and some screws and you get a very simple lighttent!

Also included some pics that I shot inside the tent.

Flugfeld Frankurt

Monday, February 19th, 2007

Or Frankfurt Airport. Shooting planes at night ain’t easy but it sure was fun. They came in very low at this point, lots of these pics are shot @ 19mm… Some experimental flashing (also know as “push the button”) and critical timing gave some interesting effects imho.

Hangar Eschborn

Monday, February 19th, 2007

An abandoned hangar. No remains of planes to be found though… Had an argument with my lens, it was giving the dreaded Err99 message :( Must look into that when I get home.
