I made myself the simplest diy umbrella holder for Metz (maybe other) flashes you can think of…

  • Get yourself: a. an old Metz flash holder and b. a metal strip.
  • Drill one hole in the metal strip, make a round end so the umbrella tighly fits in,
  • remove the bolt from the Metz holder, use the bolt to secure the strip to the holder where usally the tripod is mounted and mount this to your metz flash which has a special groove for this.
