Off course, way too late… But finally here’s my take on the first chapter for the strobist Lighting 102. There were two exercises, angle and distance.
For the angle I set the camera on the timer and just handheld the flash at different angles.
For the distance I used roughly the same technique, started off with the flash on tripod but switched to handheld and stretching out to push the shutter… On strobist was said about this exercise: “how to make a white background go black” in my case it turned into: “how to make junk in the background disappear”
