I had to return a clock to Wilrijk, Belgium, to a shop we don’t have in the Netherlands and wat seemed to be a dull back-and-forth drive turned out to be a nice urban exploring trip
I took a wrong turn and noticed some leftover walls. Turned around to check out if there was anything behind it and guess what? Nothing… But a couple yards further I saw this small abandoned castle! Some online digging later on told me that it is the “orangerie” of Hof ter Beke. Either a very good prevision or just dumb luck that I had also brought my camera just in case I would find something to photograph on the way. The area contains two buildings, by better words I just called them the front building and the right building (as seen when entering). Some more info in Dutch here
